Facebook welcomes the Hashtag!!
Facebook announced today that as of today Hashtags will now be clickable and searchable on Facebook. Similar to other social networking sites, Facebook will now allow you to indicate in a post that it is part of a larger discussion. The hashtag will help people learn what is being said about specific topics and allow people to participate in public discussions.

Happy Monday everyone! Welcome to my Monday morning motivation. Needs some motivation to help kick start your week? Become the best version of yourself. Get up, work hard and set out to accomplish a goal this week. Personal or professional goal, doesn’t matter. The fact is when you set goals for yourself and then actually achieve them, you will feel great about yourself and will strive for even more next time.

Happy Monday everyone! So another weekend has passed and it’s the dreaded Monday morning. Even on a Monday morning I am excited to get up and start my week. I look forward to caring for my 2 month old son and to get working. Who else can say the same? Who else is happy to get up and go to work today? If your answer is no then it’s time for a change in your life. We only get one life to live and you need to be living every day by doing things that make you happy, and this includes work! Work shouldn’t feel like work. It should feel like your getting up every day and get to go work on a hobby! Not happy at work.
This week, make a list of things that do make you happy and a list of things that you want to do and achieve in your life and then set out a plan to do those things. You will be on the road to happiness in no time!

So you’ve been using Twitter for personal use and are now ready to take it one step further. You might be asking yourself why and how you can use Twitter for your business. Well I’m here to tell you there are many ways of utilizing Twitter for your business and even more so there are many reasons to be on Twitter right now!
*Twitter currently has over 200 million registered users. What other form of marketing has that kind of reach for free??! If that point alone hasn’t sold you yet, I don’t know what will!
*Customers feel closer to your brand and feel good about your brand when they can communicate directly with you. And when I say directly with you, I mean they feel they can talk to an actual person and not just the company. There is a difference! Twitter allows businesses to engage directly with their customer and potential customers on a one on one real time basis. Again, what other forms of marketing offers that kind of communication and feedback, for free??
*Another really cool thing you can do on Twitter is conduct polls/surveys, and offer special deals and promotions via tweets posted to your followers. This helps build your brand and drive more traffic to your site and potentially increase sales. I know you might say that you already post sales and promotions on your website, but the question is, how are you promoting that sale and driving traffic to your website? And what is the reach compared to the potential reach on Twitter? Incomparable is my answer.
*It is important for every business to know what is being said about their company and on twitter not only can you monitor what is being said but you can monitor who is talking about your company. This is really important when it comes to customer service. This allows companies to respond to any feedback and questions that others may have. In this day in age, when a customer has a question or a complaint do they call and the company and ask to speak to the manager?? No, they post it on the internet and it is up to the company to find and respond to this.
*Now a days when someone wants to buy something, get gift ideas, find a place to eat, sleep, shop, travel etc, what do they do?? They go to the internet. People trust recommendations, people search the internet via social networks for anything and everything and if your company is not a part of the social networking world it’s as though you do not exist.
*Twitter is not only used to reach your customers and potential customers, but it is a great platform to communicate with other companies in your field of business. You can keep up to date on the latest news and trends within your field, share tips, ideas and stories with other related companies. I find this one particularly useful for start-up companies looking for help and guidance.
Well I started out using Twitter for personal use and now use it for my business and I will tell you the business could not survive without it.
